The Leadership Growth and Development System (LGDS) was developed by Oakland leaders and union members. LGDS aims to provide principals with a meaningful evaluation experience tied to professional learning structures to support their growth and development.
Bloomboard is the main application that prinicpals and their supervisor will be using to document and track goals and evidence for the evaluation process.

For 2014-2015, our goal is for every OUSD principal and Network and Deputy Superintendent participate in LGDS to be able to provide input to refine both the system and tools. Please look below for the 2014-2015 pilot timeline graphic and accompanying protocols.

TIMELINE

The 2014-2015 pilot timeline outlines goal setting conferences, observations and check-in meetings, and mid-year and end of year conferences. LGDS is designed to include multiple observations and conversations based on the principal’s goals for the year. During these meetings, principals and Network and Deputy Network Superintendents will reflect on the principals’ growth using multiple sources of evidence and refine action steps and support plans throughout the year.
